Mammoth
Mountain
Motocross draws the most
talented motocross athletes and legends of our sport onto one mountain
for 11 days of blood, sweat, and tears. Well TeamECC
rider Jantz
Grodzicki was really pumped to go to Mammoth this year, and he
mentioned, “A top 10 would be great,” as he headed out for the
grueling drive. And that’s exactly what our young team rider
did! Against stacked competition and tough terrain, Attack bee,
Jantz
Grodzicki
made his way through the pack and placed 9th in the 12-13 age
group main event. Grodzicki, has been steadily killing the
competition as the results below show.
Ø
CMC
Golden
State
Series – 2nd overall
in the 85cc 12/13
class as a 12 year-old
.
Ø
CMC
Golden
State
Series – 1st
overall in the 85cc 7-11 age
group in both 2007 and 2008.
Ø
Vet-X
Spring Series 85cc 12/13 and 85cc Open Overall Class Championships.
Ø
Loretta
Lynn
's Area Qualifier - 1st in the 85cc Mod class, 3rd in
the stock class and 2nd in the Supermini class.
Ø
Perris
Hot Summer Nights - 1st in the 12/13 class and 2nd in the Supermini
Class.
But
Jantz won’t just rest on the success of those results!! He’s
participating in the Perris Hot Summer Nights Series once again and
planning on racing at the Dodge Hangtown Classic and the Phoenix Open
later in the year.
We
asked him, “Why motocross over ballet Jantz?”... “Because it
is fun and I really don’t look good in tights! I like Motocross
because of the challenges it presents and the results I have achieved.
It is always rewarding to win after the hard work I put in at
practice... but even if I am not winning, I still enjoy it so much.”
When Grodzicki isn’t on his Suzuki, you can find him doing anything
extreme. He loves Downhill Mountain Biking, Snowboarding and Wake
Boarding. Jantz also participates in his school band as a drummer
and still manages to hold down a 3.8 GPA even with his busy racing
schedule.
When we told Jantz was being chosen as TeamECC’s Rider of the Month,
he wanted to give some shout-outs to people who have helped him out
along his way: “Thank you to my biggest sponsors, my mom and dad!!
I also have to thank
Jim
Hawkins, Roger
Oreb, and
Natalie
Eckert, from TEAMECC RACING. A big thank you to the guys in the Parts
Department at ECC, ‘you guys are great!’ I want to thank NO
FEAR, SPY, FMF, ONE Industries, Maxima Oils, SixSixOne, OGIO, EVS,
Boyesen and PR2 Racing both Engine and Suspension Divisions. Thanks
again to everyone and I’ll see you on the track!”
With
speed at the track like Jantz has, it’s a good bet that he won’t see
us unless he turns around and looks behind him! Keep up the good
work Jantz.
